Afternoon Everyone,
We're placing our Discontinued AT Rifles (Large Firing Pin) on sale, starting at $3400 for a fixed stock. All rifles are chambered in .308 Win. We have a handful of these left in various configurations. Barrel length, action rail height, color, and thread pitch.
Keep in mind, these have LFP Bolts. Intended for Large rifle primer cartridges (308 Win, 6.5 Creed, .260 Rem, etc). Is it possible to use this firing pin on a Small rifle primer cartridge (6.5x47, 6 BR, etc.)? Sure, it's just not recommended. In part because factory ammo is typically too fast for this setup. In order to keep your small rifle primers from piercing, your velocity will need to be capped. Pushing hand loads to the moon will almost certainly result in pierced primers. But if you decrease your velocity and find a lower node, it's possible to keep your primers happy. ** I shot out two 6.5x47 barrels using a LFP AX. After the initial load development, I had zero issues. FYI, 26" barrel at approximately 2730 FPS, suppressed. Slow and Steady.
Check Them Out Here!!
