Sooooooo. I have an AI chassis and it has a Harris bipod mount adapter on it. It is the same one as here: Mile High Shooting AI Harris Bipod adaptor

This was already on when I got the chassis. I want to remove to put a picatinny rail for a QD mount. Just to state the obvious... Yes I know, normal screws tighten righty (clockwise) and loosen lefty (counterclockwise). I tried this (loosen lefty) and it was no go. WD40, then no go. I ask the following because I recently put on a keymod light adaptor where the screws were threaded the opposite. Looking at this pic, it seems like it might be the opposite as well to loosen. I really don't want to strip these so... Do these adapter screws go the opposite? To get this off, should I loosen clockwise or are they just seized up and go the "normal" way (counterclockwise) to loosen?

Thanks much for those in the know!

Still left to loosen. Try tapping the screwdriver with a mallot/hammer while applying pressure to loosen. I had to do that on a couple of screws.

If still no luck, put a soldering iron on the screw for a bit to heat up any thread locker. That should do the trick.

I never could get a Harris to mount to it, the stud is too big. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a LA pre-2014 AX chassis, a SA post-2014 AX chassis, and a brand new SA AXMC. My Harris mounts to all three included adapters without issue.

Thanks for the responses - lefty loosey it was... They used loctite or something similar when installing this adapter. Soldering iron loosened it up. For the question about Harris bipods fitting this AI adapter, it was a tight fit, but they went on. Photo comparison with primary weapons Harris adapter (on left) vs AI adapter on right - same size.
