Has anyone anyone noticed any grouping differences between picatinny types that attach to receiver dovetails? I like my 2 piece version on my 22lr marlin because they have a low profile - and when I remove my quick detach Warne rings, I can still use my iron sights because they are visible over the picatinny.
But I *seem* to get larger groupings in general than if I use a 1 piece version. Trouble is the 1 piece version is not as low profile and obstructs the iron sights. Any thoughts are appreciated. Rings used on both the 1 & 2 piece rings hold zero going off & back on; zero is not my concern - group size is. I say *seem* because it does appear to be a trend - but there are many other factors in play like wind, temperature, etc that make me unsure.
