Hello,

I just bought (4) 5 round accurate mags for my aics chassis. I have an ai mag as well. Side by side they look identical except for minor finish differences. My AI mag clicks into my chassis but the accurate mags will not lock into place. Do these need to be fitted or anyone else have this issue?

Do you happen to have a set of calipers available?

They will be your friend for troubleshooting this issue.

Start measuring carefully there has to be a difference some where.

You will find it.

I did. It was the metal on the sides of the floor plate near the back of the magazine that would impact the bottom metal before it would lock in. I ended up having to press the metal down on the sides. If that doesn't make sense, IM me and I will send some pics.

Your accurate mag floor plate metal doesn't appear to protrude higher than the AI on the sides so that may not be your issue.

Looks to me like a slight difference in the height of the locking tab on the back of the magazine that catches on the mag release latch. Even a tiny difference can be enough to cause a mag to not fit.

If you mod them to fit, might want to just do one at first to see how it feeds. That's just based on my exp with One 10rd'er.

I have accurate mags and I had to work mine over. For me it was the mag catch(as in your last picture). Not a chassis but just bottom metal. In my case the mag had to much up and down play so I had to extend the catch (weld) to make it longer. Then file the weld down to make it fit just right. I then had to do some work on the Fed lips so that the bolt could just strip the round.

You got two choices ; file the bottom of the tab till it fits or send them back.

I worked mine over and have ran hundreds of rounds through them and they never fail.
