ACIS 223 Magazines

I would like a 5 round ACIS 223 magazine and don't seem to find any. Lots of 10 rd. I have a Bobs SS sled but would still like a 5 rd for shooting off bags.
Are they available and where? Has anybody cut the bottom off a 10 rd and shortened it?

Accurate mag makes a 5 round 223 AICS magazine, # 00100-0038. I have a couple of them, they work great.

+1 ... I much prefer the 5 round vs 10round unless shooting in a match. Just note that 75+ ELDMs and Bergers 80-85 etc need a bit more room COAL which you can DIY pretty easy out to like 2.45in

Yep, a couple minute job with a rat tail file to the front on the plastic inserts, first thing I do on all my accurate 223 mags to accommodate long OAL with the 75gr+ bullets. Not sure why accurate doesn't make them that way to begin with, other than at this point they probably don't want to modify the molds.

Not sure why accurate doesn't make them that way to begin with, other than at this point they probably don't want to modify the molds.

It has to ensure that it will stay out from under the feed ramp overhang on some rifles

Edit: at least thats proabably what I imagine they had to worry about back when the molds where made forever ago
