22lr??? Vudoo V22. They dont have any actions available right now, I talked to them 2 weeks ago. They said hopefully individual actions will be back up for sale by January.
They do have barreled actions for sale though ready for you to drop into any Rem700 or clone stock/ chassis and add your trigger.

If your stuck on Vudoo looks like you got to sit back and wait, otherwise it will be a CZ455 action.
You can get a barreled action right now if you want one. Just actions themselves arent being offered at the moment due to demand of barreled actions and full builds.
Single shot they is the Stiller 2500x.

If you believe that Tikka 1x is going to materialize, it does have potential if you like the Tikka T3 Centerfire options. Barnard has a two stage trigger for the T3 I want to try in it.
If you like the rem 700, the Vudoo is the obvious choice.
The CZ 455 is an option, but it was a better option when Don Smith was building them.

I’m waiting for the Tikka to appear or Vudoo to sell bare actions again. Whoever wins that race will be my next.

Our delivery times are consistently eight weeks or less. Mile High and Core are stocking dealers and generally have them available when you call.

I too looked at Vudoo very closely almost to the point of ordering. Everything I saw I liked – except of the proprietary looking magazine as it looked as if I wanted extras I’d have only one source.
I had an older Anschtuz Model 64 (made in 1964) and I went to look at what was being offered currently that might be a competition to Vudoo. I ended up with an Anchutz 1727-22 heavy barrel with a straight pull fortner action and 2-state 5020 match trigger in a GRS stock. This is the best .22 I have ever owned.

You worried about one source of mags when you can buy 3 for $99. If your that worried about it then order a few extras. They are better magazines then anything Anchutz has and much cheaper.
Yeah that would be funny if it were a fair comparison> the Vudoo mags are very well build and at least 1/2 the price of the Annies. The Vudoos actiually work as well.
Everyone always wants to compare 1 rifle to another which is possible in the terms of generic items such as cost or accuracy but when you are comparing design and function then the issue gets a bit more complicated. To make it as simple as possible, only Vudoo has the controlled feed system and that is something that sets them apart from everyone else. It is also the reason that they are the new Gold Standard for accuracy and reliability. So I guess there is something to de said for those magazines after all.
Proprietary mags (or really orphan mags) are nothing to sneeze at. I think that might have been a worry when the project was just cut 40X receivers. The 22Voodo seems to be the high end standard for repeater actions, especially for PRS type guns. Pretty good number of guns, lots of mags out there now. I think it can be on your concern list, just not that high. I don't think there will ever be a true second source, but the I think that you could take any number of straight feed 22lr 10 round mags and build a holder for them to feed the beast. That is a huge mag well, which is the opposite of most guns where the mag well is tight and has to mate and match the feed and lock up areas.
But like I said, I don't see them drying up that much. Get 10 mags, use five. You'll never probably break open the other five.
No joke, $60 for a 5 round and $90 for a 10 round mag from Anschutz is absurd, especially when fair number of ppl have problems with the 10 rounders, and to a lessor extent the 5 rounds mags too. It's too bad the CZ 455 mag conversion isn't being done anymore for anschutz 54 actions, they are $30 for ten rounders and they work without issue (MT guns and Cheseboro). They might be polymer, but I find that an advantage over the Anschutz steel mags, feed easier, no rust fingerprints, just plain work. $33 for the Vudoo mag is very reasonable compared to anschutz.
I like my Anschutz for silhouette (very light weight restrictions), but the vudoo, KIDD or CZ come out for any other 22 game. I'm kicking around the idea of a 16.5" ranch contour vudoo for silhouette as well, if I can find a leight enough stock. The weight restriction is tough for hunter class at 8.5lbs all in with a empty magazine inserted.
Buy some Savage magazines foe your Anschutz's and save some money. They take a very slight modification and work wonderfully.
First 22RF repeater I built was on the Stiller 2500XR action, which worked quite well. I never had any significant feeding or extraction/ejection issues with mine, and it shot great with a Krieger bbl I fitted & chambered (the 1st 22RF bbl I'd ever done). It was also a very slick action when I got it, and only got better with use as the black nitride (melonite) finish got slicker with use. I keep referring to it in past tense, because I sent a couple of CMP 40X & 40XB actions off to Jonathan Elrod for the repeater conversion that uses Mike Bush's 10rd AICS-form magazines. After receiving these actions back, getting them barreled & bedded into stocks, the ease of making quick reloads with Mike's big mags vs the little Savage 10rd mags in the Stiller convinced me to sell the Stiller. Then I gave into the temptation of buying a V-22 action when they became available, and built another rifle on that action. No regrets, none whatsoever. Only thing is, I don't really need three high-end 22RF repeaters - so one of the 40X repeaters is likely to be posted for sale here before long.
Can someone tell me the issue you are having with the Anschutz mags? I have 3 Anschutz and all of my mags have worked 100% in each gun. I have two 5 round and one 10 round mag. I do agree they are more expensive than need be but I don't see any problem with them functioning.
At this point I wouldn't say it's the GOLD standard. To be that I believe it needs a few Olympic titles and several ARA, or other benchrest competitions victores. Don't get me wrong, I want one and will have one sometime next year. I hope it does become the GOLD standard simply because it is made in USA by American hands and that should mean something. If your mags feed 100% on your rifles you are in good shape. Most do pretty well, but, the Anschutz magwell is adjustable and as such there is the potential for trouble. The germans love stamped sheetmetal manufacturing for weapons (HK for sure, G3, MP5, etc) and as much as I like my Anschutz's they use a sheetmetal magwell that can be aggravating if it gets out of adjustment (and it's easy to knock out of adjustment when out of stock for cleaning and gets accidently "nudged" or tweaked). mag may not seat or feed. One of my annies feeds perfect from the factory, other had issues feeding from the factory and had to be adjusted before it was reliable. It took about 5 adjustment attempts before it would properly work when I swapped stocks on it for a different class of shooting. They have both been reliable since, but I find changing mags on the anschutz's with their tiny release button lever to be a chore, not good for PRS or time restricted types of matches with a mag change. The magwell also has a slidebar with a spring loaded release lever (kind of like a revolver hammer transfer bar) that is overly complicated. CZ, Kidd and Vudoo all kill Anschutz on this issue.
I like cz's plastic magwell and mags, they have their system down pat. I've never seen a CZ with feed failures (extraction and bolt pull failures yes, but never bullet feed issues). Even with their small tab mag release it's still easier to use than Anschutz
The vudoo has been reliable since I filed the u-shape opening into the front of the mag as suggested by ravage88 in the vudoo rimfire thread, otherwise it would bind flatnose or low radius bullets on the front edge of the mag lip instead of feeding into the bolt. Didn't have any issues with standard roundnose bullets.
Tiger_Shilone, thanks for the informative post. I was not aware the Anschutz magwell was adjustable. I now understand where people can have trouble. I also think the BRNO (father to the CZ) has the best mag/feed design. I have a combined 7 BRNO's and CZ-452's and I have never had a feed issue with any, using any mag. My Steyr Zephyr II mag is the same as CZ. The Vudoo may be better, I don't have one so I can't say for sure.
I also feel the same as you regarding the Anschutz mag release. It is a major pain to change and just another reason why I love my 1710 XLR and its extended mag release. I would highly recommend one, I am considering getting one for my 1712 Silhouette and Exemplar.

Well, completely avoiding the topics of BR, or IR50/50, there's a lot to be captured by going with a 10/22 platform. They respond well to bolt face contouring, many excellent aftermarket barrels exist, and the typical tweaks/fixes reap excellent returns. Costs can, but need not, go through the roof.
I say they can be well worth the effort, and can provide much fun in the bargain.
The Mueller 8-32x44 has also captured the interest of Precision Rimfire Shooters, as well.

This spells it out about as good as you can. I love the way my Annie's shoot, but despise the mag release. I may at some point add an extended release, but I haven't even shot any of my Anschutz since the Vudoo got here...
I bought a Savage 10 round mag and converted to fit my Anschutz. Took about 20 minutes of time and the mag cost $15.00. So, now I can have 4 mags for the price of one OEM.
I know, I'm surprised a company hasn't already started making aftermarket mags for the Anschutz.
I used a dremel tool with cut off wheel to remove metal from both sides and created a notch for the magazine to lock in by. I will take some photos and show.
If you have questions just ask. One is an unmodified Savage mag, one is Anschutz and the other is the modified Savage. I have shot this mag and it works perfect in every respect. Honestly it feeds so smooth you don't even know it's loading a round. It locks in securely as shown in the last photo and it releases good, but not as good as the Anschutz but that can probably be fixed but not needed. Also there was no need to adjust the feed lips, it just works. I am going to get 3 more and load a box of ammo up.
Fired 200 rounds through the 1712 today using this modified Savage magazine. Not a single problem. As mentioned earlier it is more difficult to remove, you actually have to pull it out. But, this is mine and I am sure it can be smoothed up.
I don't claim to be an expert in this field, but I have been around the block once or twice. What is your intended use? IMO you build a rifle for a particular purpose and the parts are chosen based on that. So knowing what you are doing with the rifle can change everything...
