Does anyone have a clue if the KRG bravo adjustable buttplate holes line up with the screw holes on the back of the HMR stock?

Any other ideas on how to get an adjustable buttplate on the B14R without spending a shit ton of cash?

Depends what a shit ton of money is.

I know you shoot clays also. Have you considered an adjustable butt, like the 100 Straight one (which I like for thinness if the plates and hard steel inserts where needed).

I’m pretty sure you drill your own mounting holes and then grind it to fit the butt profile like you would w a pad.

PS - oops, it’s pre- drilled w steel insert. I’ll ask my buddy who does stock work on the side and see if he knows of a suitable kit.

do you know what the existing hole spacing is in the stock? If it uses a commercial pad like a kick-eze or similar, they are all the same hole spacing and any of the shotgun adjusters should work fine.

    Take care, my friend.

Well, Pachmayr medium pads have a 3.12" hole pattern so using available commercial adjusters like 100 straight and Jones may well work fine.

Kick-eeze is also 3.12" pattern so again, standard adjustable butt hardware should fit as the mounting

I suspected this to be so as only JAE would think to have their recoil pad custom injection molded with a proprietary hole pattern (never understood why they spent the money to do this and still ended up with, IMO, a totally shitty pad that I've replaced with a Kick-eeze).

And note, on this 100 straight, the bottom "hole" is actually a slot to allow for some variation in mounting hole pattern. I love the 100 straight product because its not two fucking 1/4" plates. They are thinner plates with hard steel inserts and I have run one on a skeet gun for well over 50k rounds and never had an issue.

And here is the Jones adjuster also with 3.12" mounting pattern but I think it only rotates and moves laterally. Don't think it adjusts for height

@Baron23 @6.5SH many thanks guys. I would be shocked if the hole patter on the Bergara is not 3.125 as well. I'll go check.

If it is, the KRG Bravo plastic adjustable buttplate is what wi'll try first. It's $40 and they'll take it back if I'm not satisified.

I've been checking out these shotgun-centric solutions and they're a possibility. Their main disadvantage is the need for tools to make the adjustment.

The KRG products are tool less at least when it comes to height and angle adjustment.

Yep, they all require a hex wrench and I have one in each of my shotgun cases. Lol

what the heck, try the KRG and if not happy then you can return it, as you said, and look to these other solutions.

On shotguns, once set right I don’t mess w it but I can see how going from bench to prone you may want to change pad height. Or, I would imagine off hand would req more adjustment.

best of luck. Interested in how you like the KRG when you get it installed.

That's exactly it. I've used those adjusters that need tools in rifles before and you indeed need to change comb and buttplate adjustment between prone, sitting, and standing. The ones I've used needed hex wrenches to change and I'd rather avoid that if I can.
