I just recently installed a B&C "a-5 style) stock on my Rem 5R Milspec.
Have a load that gives me almost zero vertical dispersion but try as I might, I can't seem to get rid of horizontal dispersion.
I'm convinced it's all ME, not rifle or ammo.
I need some tips on getting cant and drop/rise adjustment down on this stock. When the stock feels best just sitting there, the horizontal dispersion seems to increase.
All suggestions on how to get the proper fit would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to get my groups to be at least as narrow as they are tall, especially on totally windless mornings like I've had lately. Wind has been so calm that the dust from the berm just goes slowly upward yet I can't seem to get the groups at 300 yards below 1-1/2" horizontally. Vertically they average less than 1/2".
A willing student awaits
