ADL to BDL conversion 223/308

I have a Rem 700 ADL in .223, picked up a stock for a BDL .308 with bottom metal. So for the internal magazine metal portion to fit properly, what do I have to do?

I know the adl metal is unscrewed from the action - did that. The BDL metal is for the .308 while the 223 has a spacer. Can I trim off a little from the 223 metal channel and use the 223 leaf spring and shell shelf? Is there another option?

I did the same conversion! All I did was dremel the stock to allow the bottom metal to fit and trimmed the adl .223 mag box. It holds 6 rounds and performs flawlessly. Be careful trimming around the pillars. My stock had metal pillars of I remember correctly.
