Rifle Scopes ADM mount question

Hello, all! First post from a total noob, so here goes: I have a Falcon Menace scope coming from a Calguns group buy. As it was intended for my DPMS .308 I got an ADM Recon mount as well. However, I talked the Finance Committee into my very-last-this-time-for-sure rifle purchase in the form of Remington 700 5R in .308. Will this mount be suitable for this rifle as well as my AR or do I have to buy rings and canted bases and stuff? I sure hope not because I'm going to try and slip a Pelican case past the Committee while the gettin' is good....
