How many of you run this QD mount on your weapons? I just bought one for a 300 BO AR and HOLLY SHIT this is a nice piece of equipment. I am thinking of getting 1 for each optic I own, but I wonder if the additional weight (vs night force light rings) is worth it. I have a K624i on my PRS rifle. I dont anticipate moving it much, but may be nice to have good glass and higher magnification for load development on multiple platforms.

It is my opinion that the ADM QD mounts are best reserved for shorter range AR style weapons. There was a detailed article by Frank, followed by a few threads of "discussion" that points out the problem with vertically split rings used in a precision long range application. My experience preceded the article but followed this same line.

My point is, keep the ADM for your 300 BO and maybe your ARs, but keep your precision rings on your PRS and long range rifle scopes.

Lash' s opinion matches my experience. They're great for AR15s where you usually need a mount that will move the scope forward and have it high. I used their Recon-s and -sl on two bolt guns and they were just too high for my liking, and the -sl is the lowest they make.
