Rifle Scopes ADMS quick detach mount, how much pressure

I have that mount, never worried about this, but now that I'm intending to shoot 600m how much pressure should it have to be stable? I quickly realized if I take it off the rifle, open the qd push it in, the screw on the other side comes out and is finger adjust. 1/8 turn on the front and 1/4 on the rear and it takes firm pressure to put it down now but I don't have to bear down on it. Is that about right?

Yeah that sounds about right, takes a little pressure to close it but you don't have to force it. Also remember that it has a large clamping surface so it doesn't have to be really tight to hold well. The little instruction sheet that came with mine said that. Stupid question but where was it set before and did it hold zero good or is this a new mount? If it worked well under 600 before, I wouldn't worry about changing it to shoot 600.
