Currently using an atlas CAL for my 7 PRC rifle. It’s working fine but I’d like something a bit more stable. What do you guys recommend? Mostly doing bench and prone shooting.
Thanks

It has an Arca attachment option as well.Seems like a solid bipod. How does it work on rifles with a stock? Am currently using a foundation. Seems like this bipod is mostly ran on rifles with a hand guard.

Thank you, I'll check out their website. I saw a good deal on a SR5 on optics planet but I hate buying from them with their gay ass shipping times.Worth signing up for their mailing list. They run sales periodically throughout the year that often knock off 30%.
The CAL is comparable to the PRS in class - for prone and bench I expect bigger and beefier bipods like the SCAL would be used. CAL/PRS/V8 are not in that class. I like my SCAL enough, but I probably wouldn’t buy another.I have bothan Atlas CAL and Accu-Tac WB-4.
The Accu-Tac is noticeably beefier. I'd even argue that it feels more stable, but my shooting consistency with the Atlas is pretty good too.
When I spend my money again on another bipod -> Accu-Tac.
I just took a Quick Look at the WB and yes that seems like it could work. So basically you're married to their clamp and is not removable? AccuTac has so many models I’m always confused, but I think the WB is closest to what OP wants? I dislike that I can’t use my clamp of choice with AccuTac.
There’s usually some for sale in the px if you want to save some $Seems like the acctac WB-5 is a good option from what am looking at, the EI seems solid but it's a bit more than I like to spend and am not sure I like the interface.
who has the best deals on acc tac bipods? any SH vendors?
It’s removable but it’s their own footprint or at least not the ARMS-17S footprint that’s fairly common; I have expensive RRS clamps I’d prefer to use than not.So basically you're married to their clamp and is not removable? Are there any issues with their clamps?
Adding mount height places the barrel higher vs the fulcrum of the bipod, something we’re trying to address specifically with these tires of bipods. It’s a solution, but not one I’m fond of.If you do go LRA or Accutac but want both pic rail and Arca compatibility, here’s the trick:
Take one 17s clamp. I used the SC-ARC, as with this clamp you have a choice as to how you want to clamp (pic/Arca).
Add a 17s pic rail to bottom. I use the Atlas BT20-B.

Here’s another

The Atlas or Wiser pic rail is then clamped into your bipod’s factory pic clamp.
I get it, but the canyon-sized deep yoke of my model sorta makes the difference academic.Adding mount height places the barrel higher vs the fulcrum of the bipod, something we’re trying to address specifically with these tires of bipods. It’s a solution, but not one I’m fond of.
