When I first got my RPRR I tossed a Nikon prostaff on it and was satisfied with it for bench shooting.
Last fall I went to my first .22 PRS style competition. While my skill set was non existent....... my trusty little prostaff just wasn’t going to cut it.
I upgraded to an Athlon Argos. Which was a quantum leap from the prostaff. I’ve used it all this season and it’s a great scope for the money. My two concerns with it are: 1) it’s in MOA and I want to switch to MILS. 2) the top turret requires multiple revolutions to go from near to far and it’s easy to get lost.
So I’ve decided, yet again, to upgrad my scope. Looking at the Vortex Viper PST gen 2.
Over the winter I’m also building a 10/22 to compete in the semi auto class.
Soooooooo I’m planning on purchasing two identical scopes to keep it as simple as possible for myself.
Is there anything I’m overlooking with the Viper? I haven’t read any downsides or real issues.
But given the cost (x2) I want to ensure I’m not missing PRIOR to hitting the buy it now button.
Thank you!
