I bought an M5 Builders kit with the ATLAS S - ONE handguard. In the description it shows that the upper is an M5E1 Enhanced. I think this may be wrong. It looks like the M5E1 enhanced is the upper with the extension on the front to add the Gen 2 MLOK hand guard (8 exterior screws) and they just put the same description for the ATLAS S and R erroneously. Does anyone know if this is the true difference? My real questions is looking at the various lower parts sets there is an M5 Enhanced and an M5 MOE SL. I 'think' this use of again the word 'enhanced' is unrelated to the actual lower and simply refers to the Magpul grip style included but need confirmation from people who know more than me and have built so I get the right set. This may seem straightforward but only the M5 enhanced lower kit says this "Our custom takedown and pivot pins are made to work with our M5 lower. They will work with AR 308-pattern lowers as well but will stick out further". Can I can get some guidance on what to buy please?

Will the M5.308 lower parts kit currently out of stock work with all three major handguard setups they offer or are there differences? Thanks!

i think some dealers are showing (ie in pics) the non-enhanced upper with the atlas or whatever barrel nut screwed on the upper. it gives the appearance that the upper is enhanced (has the built-in flange) when of course it does not.

Regarding the upper, you are correct thst the Enhanced refers to the upper with the proprietary flange fir the Gen II handguard (Bottom upper pictured). The top is a standard M5 receiver with an Atlas R-One.
