Gunsmithing Aftermarket Remington BDL Bottom Metal?

Afternoon,

Im looking for an aftermarket BDL bottom metal, if it even exists. I ordered a McMillan HTG for Remington BDL - I have the BDL bottom metal off of my SPS Tac 308, but Im checking to see if
any of you guys might know of a better quality direct replacement for the BDL that will drop straight into the McM stock.

Edit: I see Pacific Tool makes what looks like a drop in, no modification replacement - but do I need the regular short action, or the tactical?

Either will work. There have to be about a dozen makers out there. Short action is short action. Tactical or not, as long as it is made for a short action you are good to go. Take a look at MidwayUSA.com and Brownells.com. The carry most of the brands out there, including PTG.

You can also check out Williams Firearms for aftermarket BDL replacement hardware. I have two of them and much prefer to the factory stuff. Also, Badger Ordnance makes a replacement BDL hardware which is supposed to be very robust. Good luck.

Oberndorf makes a good quality heavy BM for remmies that is pretty reasonable, available from Midway and other suppliers.
