AGM Rattler V2 Thermal Riflescopes at Eurooptic

Hopefully I’ll be pre-ordering a V2 50-640 soon. 😏

Not sure if I’ll sell or keep my V1, probably keep it since it’s brand new, and just toss it on a backup/loaner gun for hogs and coyotes.

How would the rattler v2 clip on compare to a rh25 as a clip on? Specs seem similar enough, in this role would the rattler be more user friendly

I looked through the new Rattler V2 35 640 this weekend. I was impressed. I was also blown away with the clarity of the StingIR micros. After handling those I think I may try two of em on a bridge mount.

The large capacity rechargeable battery is interesting.
Does it have an external power input port / jack ?

5 year warranty is nice to have.

Yes, you can run an external battery pack. The same port that runs the external pack is the same data port that you upload your videos and photos to your computer. The one thing I'm not a fan of, is they have internal only memory... They don't use any micro-SD cards or anything like most other companies. Kind of hoped to see a micro-SD card slot on the V2, but... Maybe on the V3... 🤷🏼

Good point.
SD cards are cheap and easy to swap and transfer at faster rates typically than internal memory.

I like the V2 a lot, not sure if the lack of the SD card is a deal breaker.

Anyone know if it's a standard battery pack or proprietary?

Pretty sure standard battery pack, just make sure to use the proper USB cable.

Got a V2 50-640 in yesterday replacing a V1 25-384, and man. Thing is nice. One thing I noticed is weight is really understated. Spec is 1.18lbs, mine is almost 28 oz with battery and mount. Not a big deal but the rifle I'm using is a lightweight build. Image quality definitely makes me forget about that fast though.
