Night Vision AGM SECUTOR TS50

Hey guys just wanted to start an info thread on the new AGM SECUTOR TS50. I’ve been blown away so far at the build and image quality. I’ve taken it out the last two nights but until I can get my UTV fixed I’m afraid I won’t get to see how it really performs anyways. I’ve been extremely impressed with my AGM ASP TM25. Imagine quality is really impressive.

I considered going with agm, mostly because they are in my state, but with some cs issues ive heard i stayed away. Glad to hear its working well for you.

Customer service=poor , & they are Chinese built thermals that are rebranded . I’d stay away. And I’ve owned AGM before and have nothing but good words about the contact I have there... but that doesn’t change the fact that the company kinda sucks as a whole. AGM is a new Devision that branched off from PRG defense.

I talked with them a while ago. They seemed nice, but i know they dont do much in house, if anything at all. Thats where repairs will become very difficult if not impossible. If you gotta ship it back to china for repairs, it could take weeks or months to get it back. Even if they do repairs, but parts come from overseas, same issue.

You mean former owners of Armasight (3 of them), then FLIR, then when they all got let go from FLIR started this new company with basically the same exact rebranded FLIR product line but just changed the name and battery cap to avoid the FLIR non-compete? I mean the AGM is the first names of each of the former owners from Armasight.

I am currently trying to decide on what brand of clip on night vision to buy.

That sucks about the Chine Ah deal. I won't derail this thread into another buy "Made in the USA" thread (which I strongly believe in) but holy cow it's hard to find stuff that doesn't have some type of connection to Chine Ah. Especially if it's electronic.

Where were the Flir's manufactured?

I think I would ignore the “China” issue. Who isn’t having components made overseas? As far as warranty,who knows yet? Vortex is sure making it work

I used to be resigned to the China thing and fairly accepting. Now it really sticks in my craw. It's a much bigger deal to me now.

I won't go into the China thing - my views are legendary on that at this point.

I will go into the "what the fuck its broke again" thing that is reported to be an issue with the current line up of Chinese thermals.

To be honest, I haven't found two different types of optics very reliable in my career: Thermals and Laser Rangefinders. Every thermal I owned in the last generation when 320 was mostly the game for high end had to go back for service - and these were the high end US made ones.

I guess to summarize - get an IR Hunter and call it done.

I have the iRay MH 25 and so far no issues, but its a dedicated handheld set up to me. I do agree though that most Chinese theramals turn into paper weights at some point.
