Aguila .22LR Rifle Match Competition Ammo Info

I tend to spend a little more on ammo, but my father refuses to spend more than 5 or 6 cents a round. He's tested nearly all the cheaper end ammo you can imagine, and he's found the Aguila and Geco to be the most consistent so far. Sure, the CCI SV produces some good results, but they can vary drastically from lot to lot. And we tend to get a lot of random fliers from the CCI SV, regardless the rifle we're shooting them out of.

I found some online for a nickel a shot and thought maybe I would try some. I am like your father 10 cents or less fits my budget. I usually order a case of 5k when I purchase 22lr and if I’m not happy with the accuracy the kids can use it to plink with.

For the price, I'd say give it a try. If your rifle doesnt care for it, you're not out much. And there is always a chance your rifle absolutely loves it. Granted, you might get some random fliers here and there, but that's to be expected for the price.

Aguila .22LR Rifle Match Competition Ammo. Has anybody shot this ammo? Better or worse than cci standard?

I've had good results with this round - better than CCI SV. From my Tikka T1X at 50 yards. My next step is to compare 100 yards groups. If that is better = it'll be my round when the shoots start again this spring.

PS: your results may vary.

I bought a few box’s of pistol and rifle match neither did very well in any of my 22 ‘s , now I did pick up some tattered old box’s on clearance of the aguila 22 target competition , eley prime ( the blue gold and black box ) this stiff shoots but could just be those few box’s / lot

I shot more Aguila Match Rifle from a pistol than a rifle. For me it shoots about the same as CCI SV in a pistol but I haven't shot them side by side in a rifle for comparison. I don't recall it shooting that much better but most of it was in a 10/22 at 25 yards off hand.

I might give it a side by side comparison if I get a chance this weekend.

I ran Aguila rmc in my ruger precision and liked it at first. Then I shot some group sheets and decided the Aguila would be a better plinker. CCI sv is better and SK standard plus is the best of the three so far. Those are the three I have pushed over a hundred rounds each in that price range.
