Hey guys. I have a Remington 700 action (308) on an AICS chassis. I’m also using AI magazines but am having an issue with rounds nosediving thereby failing to feed.
When I pull the magazine out, I notice that the rearward part of the case body is jammed up against the feed lips such that scratches or marring of that area is visible.
The rounds (175gr FGMM) barely make it a cm forward before failing to feed. And it’s more likely to happen to the 10th, 9th, 8th round. Once the magazine gets closer to empty, the chance of failure goes down to 0.
Do I need to replace the followers so that they don’t tilt? Or is there potentially another issue?
