AICS Magazine 10 Rounders?

Given I want 10 rounders, do I want AI brand or should I consider something else? Somewhat new to the bolt world.

I hand load 6.5 creedmoor and they are going in J Allen chassis. I have a Defiance and a Vector with each in a J Allen.

Currently I am using a 10 round Magpul and everything seems fine with it. I run SMK bullets so I have not needed more OAL out of my Magpul because their ogives are way out there (meaning I seat SMKs pretty deep). I might be switching to Hornady ELD-M, which have a shorter Ogive so I might need more OAL but not sure yet.

Sooo my questions:

Do I even need to consider switching to AICS mags? If so where can I buy these at a decent price?
Any other brand mag I should consider in 10 rounder?

You should be able to run AI AW mags in you Defiance. They'll hold 11 rounds (6.5,.260,.308) and are better than std AICS mags in my opinion.

Run what works best in YOUR rifle. I run AICS mags, but in an AI, and they’re like butter. YMMV

I haven't heard them being in stock at SW either, but I could be wrong. We are working hard on having the magazines back in stock ASAP, but I don't have a date on hand yet. Sorry.

Stay with Magpul unless you determine, through testing, that whatever jump you're getting from the Hornadys seated to mag length doesn't work in your rifle.

I've used Magpul, Alpha, and MDT (steel) magazines. I only use Magpul and Alpha now.
