I recently acquired a Mk13 Mod 5 that included a badger IMUNS. In order to modernize the rifle a bit I purchased a sawtooth 12" (ish) arca rail that mounts to the bottom of the stock..... now that I have the arca rail and I'm ready to install I'm finding I have to remove the "locking plate" (the piece with the bipod sling swivel) from the IMUNS in order to get a flat surface on the bottom of the stock so that the arca mounts correctly.

Is the "locking plate" actually required for the IMUNS to be mounted properly? If torque from the locking plate is required for the IMUNS, any ideas on a work around that I can use to provide that torque while still running the sawtooth arca rail?

Just popped off my locking plate on my AW and the IMUNS is still super stiff. I think you're good haha. Looking at my diagram and going off my memory, the mount is really secured by the large roll pin that goes through the chassis and mount. (#10)

You're a hero! You're thinking is in line with mine so I'm just going to pull the locking plate and run without!
