How do you tell the difference between AK 47 and AK 74 mags. What are the dimensional differences?

Do you have a picture of a magazine you are wondering about? Typically AK47 magazines have more of a curve to them than the AK74 magazines.
yup, the 5.45 is very similar to the 5.56 cartridge.....so the mags will have a similar curve to AR mags

the 7.62 round is fatter and more tapered, resulting in more of a curved mag.
AR vs AK47 mag
so if the mag looks like an AR mag, its likely a 74 mag
....or it could be a galil mag....
