and that it is a Leupold.. for that price range, watch the board here and buy a NF. 10000000 times better scope as far as durability goes. you can get a NF F1 for around $1900 if you watch. good luck </div></div>
I don't disagree that Nightforces are more durable. Most people aren't dragging their gun through the mud though. Mark 4's are plenty durable to get the job done. The glass is also really clear especially at dusk and dawn conditions when the sun is low. He definitely wouldn't be making any kind of mistake by purchasing one, I would just recommend getting the M5 0.1MIL knobs if he chooses to get a MIL reticle. Maybe he just wants the higher magnification, or maybe he just likes the way a Mark 4 looks a feels compared to other scopes. In the end it's just preference, and if he fought tooth and nail over a Counter Sniper he would probably still get a Counter Sniper despite the opposing views. I have a FFP Mark 4 myself, it doesn't compare to S&B's, but I still like it even though it cost a little more than the Nightforce.
