I just got an order of a bunch of Alpha Munitions 22 Creedmoor SRP brass and just wanted to say how impressed I was with their product. I normally use Lapua for everything I reload and consider Lapua excellent. At first glance prior to reloading the Alpha, I would say the Alpha brass is a nicer product. The brass came in a nice, reusable box that was fully padded. Each case was absolutely perfect, not one dented case mouth, fucked up flash hole or primer pocket. On top of that, the brass was boxed up in a nice padded shipping box and included an actual hand written card thanking me for my business. I normally could give two shits about that stuff but thought it was kind of cool that in todays age, a company actually took a few extra seconds to do something like that. Needless to say, I'll be ordering more Alpha brass for my other cartridges... Good stuff. Just thought I would share because I just recently learned about the company.

I have 400 pieces of LRP 6.5CM brass that’s been awesome, even after I made 2 stupid irreversible mistakes with it. I have 500 SRP 6.5CM brass that’s been even better. Their customer service is top notch and it’s American made!!

The SRP flash hole is the larger size unlike the Lapua. So no need to change the size of your decapping pin. I haven’t used Lapua so I can’t compare it to that.
The SRP brass has quite a bit more case capacity than the LRP brass. Seems to hold a little better ES/SD than my LRP stuff but that could just be because of the self induced errors I’ve done to the LRP brass. I just won a local match with the LRP brass.

The effect on ES/SD of SRP v LRP is debatable and most side by side tests i've seen ran show differences small enough to be considered negligible. One proven advantage of SRP brass is extended life, the primer pockets on LRP give out a long time before the SRP ones do. People have gotten upwards of 15 reloads on SRP brass before losing the primer pockets.

Thanks guys! If I can get the Alpha for similar price to Lapua and it's just as good or better and also don't have to bother with special size pins in my universal decapper for SRP brass, I'm going to give it a try.
I don't have many calibers that I load in volume using LRP, and like the longer case life by using SRP for 6.5CM.

Alpha brass is top shelf. As are the people that own and operate it. They are avid shooters also. I have used it for over a year, 6.5 lrp x500 and more recently 6 Creed srp x500, ordering 500 6 Creed lrp soon. Amazingly consistent, almost all weigh within half grain and my SD is 3-5 without much effort at all. I use and enjoy Lapua also, but only in calibers not offered by Alpha Munitions. Great brass, great company, and made in the USA.

You have to keep going back and checking their site, they go fast when they drop a new lot, thats why I had a silent fit of rage when this thread popped up.

Thanks SOCAL, for the post. I like Alpha brass. Just as consistent if not more than Lapua, and I really like Lapua. Really like the SRP. The small primer pockets, do hold up better than large, when pushing loads.
They must have just posted them on the site, looked just a couple days ago. Bought 100
