Amazon links being treated as "media" and rendered invisible

In this thread it seems to be treating Amazon links as media and rendering them invisible.


When you reply or quote a post you will see the odd formatting, but the resulting reply will also have invisible content from Amazon.

See my posts that I pasted the quotes in a code block for visibility.

Please buy less from Amazon. You're setting us up for a dystopian, autocratic corporate monopoly. Give the remaining competition a chance.

Amazon needs to be broken up and we all know the government is too busy being worried about how to scare people than it's prime directive.
 
I use Brave browser on PC and Android. With privacy shields up it does appear the links are being hidden.
This may be a function of how Brave and other browsers manage external content that might be trying to use trackers.

Here's a screenshot of a message I sent another member, taken after I sent the message and noticed that it comes up blank on my end.

It does appear that the link got mislabeled or mishandled as media instead of simply remaining a simple URL link.
