I just got this rifle setup with a new stock, scope, CDI bottom metal (for detachable mags), etc..
It doesn't seem to like the 68gr loads I put together
for my 1:7 AR. The Savage is 1:9 and I'm wondering whether
I should search for another load for my 68gr bullets
or go to a lighter bullet and start from there.
I was thinking about buying a box or two of match
ammo with lighter bullets and trying them out
to see if it makes a difference.

Any opinions?

Thanks,

Jon

I tried a bunch of lighter bullets in my 223 precison carbine, but in the end 77smk with varget in LC brass was the best load. shot well under moa out to 300yds the farthest i shot it. I never could get it to group with 55 or 62grain bullets. 69smk and 77smk were always the best.
