Recently ordered some 6.5 creedmoor from an online vendor. They noted that shipping may be delayed 4-7 days due to the high volume of ammo requests. Today is the 12 day. Anyone else having difficulty when ordering ammo online? Thanks.

I have been ordering what I find in stock for prices I’m willing to pay per unit. Not because I need it. Only because I don’t want anyone else to get it before I do.

There small amounts here and there. Just have to look for it.

Think of the grandma hitting up the super market and buying all the TP. That’s me with ammo and reloading components right now

Trollin’ bro. :ROFLMAO:

PRIME took a bit but only because I am used to lightning fast service from them. Ordered a lot from Outdoor Limited and it was shipped day after order and got it 3 days later...

Just got some 147gr HST for a screaming deal. Only took about 5 days to ship.

Ive never been super impressed with the 147gr HST expansion from my regular sidearms, but...

They are pretty devastating out of my 16in CZ Scorpion.

This is just shooting at gallon jugs filled with water.

I no longer carry the 147gr HST in my S&W shield...

Has worked well for me. I'll take pretty much whatever I can get HST wise but prefer the 147gr.

DocGKR’s data shows the 147gr to be a pretty solid performer. I don’t pretend to be a ballistics expert, nor am I a neckbeard shooting slabs of bacon and ribs in front of overly dense blocks of lime Jello and then holding my results up as gospel. :ROFLMAO: So Doc’s data is what I rely on. That, and solid shot placement. Put ‘em where they belong, and any modern JHP should do the job fine.

I Agree 100%.

I was only speaking from my own personal experience.

In my littlle shield they showed minimal expansion but certainly would still hurt plenty...LoL.

But out of the rifle they are on a different level.

Just so we’re clear, I wasn’t referring to you as a neckbeard, just the goobs on YouTube who do that crap.

And I’m sure the 147s perform a good bit better from a PCC barrel! I’d totally carry a rifle if I could fit one in my pants, but space is already pretty limited down there. ;) :ROFLMAO:

Lol no offense taken.

And yes, as always placement is king. And I acknowledge that shooting gallon jugs filled with water isnt exactly scientific. Well, redneck science I suppose.

Either way, they will get the job done.

I have had luck finding 5.56 this week from targetsports a few times this week they were stocked around 9am and sold out by noon. My receipt said shipping may take about two week but i got a tracking number the following day. I also see sportsmanguide has 9mm at a fair price.

Things are getting very scarce. Better get what you can find while you can. Noticed today, my 9mm supplies where dangerous low. Had a hell of time to try and find the components for reloading.

I found that sort of funny as well , but I ordered ammo in march 1st and just got the order yesterday it usually only takes 3 to 4 days at the same time I put in an order for some cheap sticker targets and a few other Items from china (amazon) and they only took 3 days to deliver from the date that I ordered them . and I thought it funny since the mail is still running at higher than normal rates . It is what it is as long as your ammo get to you a little wait is just how it is good luck and I hope you get your delivery sooner than expected rather than much later .

I've actually been ok with finding ammo during this pandemic. I have a few local places that I keep up with on social media and they have been making posts with regard to when shipments arrive. Went and got some 147gr 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady Match for my bolt gun the other day and they also had quite a bit of 9mm and 5.56 ammo as well. I was kind of surprised. But certainly not complaining.

I generally place a bulk order with TargetSports once a month. I placed an order on March 16th and still waiting. I don't remember their website indicating a delay at the time, but a couple days after my order they stated orders were running a few days behind, then that kept increasing until it stated something like 2 weeks. Their phone lines are down but I'll check with them Monday. I'm not hurting for it whatsoever. I always just place an order for a couple calibers each month.

Thats what you get for wearing skinny jeans!!!

I don't want to say Target Sports USA is on my shit list but they did kinda fuck me on a recent order. Ordered at the beginning of March, it did ship within their quoted 15 day lead time, but only shipped half my order. Apparently there were some issues with the case of 5.56 and since I guess there were no other cases available, they just opted to not ship me a case and not tell me. I only found out when I looked at the tracking and noticed the package was light. I went online to order from a different company I've done business with before and have a case on the way, ordered on 4/2, should be here on 4/8.

I looked around yesterday and had no problems finding ammo in stock. Prices did not seem to be too out of line with pre-Corona numbers. I have not bought anything because I am good.

If you need ammo use ammoseek.com and start searching.

They did say that they would honor the price thats on my order receipt when another case becomes available, so I have that going for me. Under the circumstances, with no product shipped or charged for, that's about the best I can hope for, however they have no idea how many weeks or months it might be to restock.

I work in an industry where this sort of thing isn't uncommon so I wasnt super pissed just more disappointed that I was never notified.

Ace in Stephens City had a good bit when I was in there earlier this week. No price gouging. Might be worth a look (y)

You should have already had you ammo. Who the hell waits until the crisis to order ammo? Every time you have spare cash and enough room on the shelf for more ammo, buy more ammo. Good luck getting you ammo permission request processed on Commiefornia. Rock Island Auctions is have an auction with 7.5 tons of ammo in a few days, load up for the holidays. If Bloomberg/Soros wins in 2020..................you are gonna need it.

As you can see, the communist and leftist scum used the fake Corona crisis to shut down gun sales, gun stores, legal shooting ranges, CCW permitting, public gatherings, travel, hunting, fishing and all forms of competitive shooting. They are also dying to suspend habeas corpus and they are using FBI agents and other government thugs to seize private property if they feel it will help the greater good, a lauded communist objective.

Do you own hand sanitizer? Toilet paper? N95 masks? Good luck selling them even for cost and leftist goon squads prowl the streets looking to take them from you. Even walking in public, 30 ft from any other person is prohibited, so is paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, biking and expressing a contrary opinion in a leftist state like New York.

I know, I sent a coworker there last week to pick up some because he was literally at zero. I'll get ammo from them if I'm low on something because they usually stock things like 6.5CM and stuff so they're a hidden treasure for sure in this area. When I get this order in I'll be in pretty fair dinkum shape for all my calibers, I'll be able to keep all 6 of my AR mags, 3 pistol mags, and 2 AICS mags topped off with the ability to replenish a couple times over. :geek:

I have 5 gal buckets for 9, 45, and 556 brass......

Some I order in even larger volume. Especially when its cheap!

Ordered a round of 10k 556 last year.
UPS guy was not impressed....????
I used to shoot alot of 9mm and 7mm rem mag in the 90's . My daughter came along , martial arts , a house and no time . I put 3 five gal buckets at the curb full of brass that I never reloaded . Gave away an RCBS Rock Chucker . When the last ammo run came I thought bullshit . I decided to go shooting and was shocked to see [email protected] a box . I now reload . That shit will never happen again. And yeah I started shooting again .
Army Je=y is a prophet . Buy more ammo .?

Got an email from Target Sports today, apparently they are currently working on orders from March 15, 16, and 17th and shipping those out on Tuesday or Wednesday. So by my math it will be a little over 20 calendar days from order to shipping for me.

@Alphatreedog

I moved a lot of brass and bullets a couple times since my daughter was born.
Knew there would come a time.

My awesome oldest brother who always helps me bitched a little.
Now, he sees me as a prophet happy to help reload.

When he got a .38 he loved the price of 500 LSWC, 500 primers, and 3.6 gr of HP-38 each..... vs $14/50 rds at the shop.

Ammo will be back by Aug or so I am thinking.

And fuck Biden/Soros. To whoever mentioned their wretched names.
