I survived being a Texas resident for +/- 20 years. I remember when it was legal o drink a beer while driving. Some of the shit you see there makes Tuckers look tame.

Texas is a bad-ass state. The state is very conservative overall, the weather is phenomenal, & the food is unreal. Hell, this morning I had barbacoa, eggs over easy, hash browns, refrijoles & pancakes for breakfast w/ handmade corn tortillas. Oh, the Serrano chile' was fresh & tasty! But that is another story... Let's not forget Texas is a Castle Doctrine state.

In full -disclosure, I'm originally from the frozen north. I've recently moved back to Texas & I don't see myself leaving again. This state has a lot to offer as far as job opportunities as well. I really don't see a downside to living here. There's also a lot of history here. Like-minded conservative people help to pass my days quite easily.
