...From North Carolina
Hello All.
In the process of getting my "Hunting" rifle put together I kept running across this site. I have seen a lot of good information here.
I am a former US Army Paratrooper. From my screen name you could guess that I served with the 82nd. I really never did anything too high speed..... well if you don't count jumping out of perfectly good aircraft....
I did serve some time with the Rangers back in the mid 90s (I missed Som. by about a week.) I have also worked as a .mil contractor at Ft. Bragg, Ft. Campbell, Camp Lejune and NWS Yorktown. Again nothing too high speed just a job....
I am a prolific shooter and reload my own ammo...(when I can find components)
I just got my rifle which is a Savage Precision Carbine. I am using a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44 (MRAD) Mounted with Burris xtream rings on a 20MOA Base. On the muzzle I have a AAC 51tooth Muzzel Break... so I can attach my 762-SDN-6 whenever I get my stamp back...
I also have a Karsten cheek riser.

So far I have logged about 230 rounds of various ammo through her... Its nice to have a 600 yard range behind my house.

Range is hot....
I have her zeroed right now at 100yds and am getting some good groups.. the rifle shoots better then the shooter...

I am about ready to push it on out. I am going to rezero at 200yds and see what happens...
Thanks for reading I look forward to being part of your community.
