A lot of you guys seem to like shoe-goo. Never used it on anything but running shoes. I just purchased some of the new inch sized Sord Field Uniform pants. These are really nice pants and now they actually fit me. I normally wear Massif pants with pockets in the knees for pads/inserts. The Sord pants just have simple double reinforced knee patches sewn on the outside. I don't need padding, but want them to not soak thru when I take a knee in wet or mud.
Would a layer of shoe-goo spread over the knee patches 'waterproof' them?
Does S/G hold up to repeated washings without peeling or flaking off?
Would it be fairly abrasion resistant?
Is there one type of S/G (or a similar product) that would work better?
