Wow! That is just beautiful. Before landing here, years ago, my focus was SxS shotguns and they lend themselves to this kind of attention. In rifles, the single shots work best because of their sleekness and the lever guns are next for the same reason. The bolt guns are next and the Fortner actions simply don't lend themselves well at all. There is a clunkiness to to them and little in the way of visual balance to recommend them. They are certainly a superb piece of engineering and that has a beauty of it's own but trying to make one racy would seem a fool's errand. Somehow they seem to have figured out a way with it. I think the angle that it is photographed from enhances the visual.
