Anschutz rings and stock

I have an Anschutz 54 action .22lr. Its the model 1710 150th Anniversary edition. I am writing because as much as I love the rifle and shoot it quite a bit I need a higher cheek weld and because it is a special Anniversary engraved stock I don't really want to have the stock cut into to add the adjustable cheek peice.

So, I may need a second stock but I am having trouble finding much in the way of affordable or understandable options. It seems that all 54 actions are not the same. I have included pics below of the inletting on mine. Any information you can give me on what to look when I search (ie what designates this type of 54 action from others) or what stock makers I should directly look to would be appreciated. I use the rifle as a trainer and I think I may try out some silhouette competitions as well as some long range .22lr shoots so that is the type of stock I am looking for.

I am also upgrading its scope to a 30mm tube model and my current Leupold rings must be replaced. Any suggestions on 30mm rings that will fit an 11mm Anschutz rail?

AI scope mounts work well with the Anshutz.

I use a butt stock cheek pack with the velcro straps on my 64 MPR. I add some foam underneath to get the comb to the right height. Also has a zippered compartment for extra mags or stuff.

BKL scope mounts is the way to go with Anschutz, many styles, stout and made in USA........Mac Tilton over at MTguns.com probably has hundreds of Anschutz rifles, might have a stock for you..........xray9

+1 on the butt stock cheek pad. I prefer the lace up style to Velcro, but otherwise exactly the same.

DIP Diversified Innovative Products for scope mounting rails. I have their 20 MOA rail on my 64 MPR and my 54.18. Very well made and good folks to deal with. With 50 yard zero on the 64, I can dial out to 350 with scope.

I have the Anschutz rail and rings on my new 64 Benchrest, and I'm extremely happy with it.

Check this site out, they have bases you can use steel Leopold rings. I've used this company for years.

Well, I'm still running around the world wide web looking for stock options that will be acceptable and have an acceptable price but I think I will be good to go with either Kelbly's rings or the DIP base and some low Seekins rings. I think I most like the latter option as it would allow me to do some of the scope testing for my articles with the Anschutz but since I am also trying to make this gun legal for NRA Silhouette competition and this option adds further weight it might not work out. Thank you all for your suggestions and information. It has helped greatly.

With the rings as good as sorted out, the stock has proven to be a much more frustrating endeavor. I am surprised how few stock options seem to exist for the 54 sporter action. I was under the impression it was a much more common action than it must be. Few stock seem to be available inletted for it and as of yet I have not found one available with an adjustable cheek peice.

I have one of my Anschutz 54.18's in a McMillan Master Silhouette stock. I really like the stock a lot and I did not have to put a cheek pad on that one. Stock design gets the comb up high enough for good cheek weld and sight alignment with scope mounted.
