Looking at this gun very hard for my high end trainer. Is their any reason NOT to go with this gun. I'm currently shooting a Mark II topped with Bushnell tactical 3.5X24 with Gap retical. I'm shooting out to 200 yards without any trouble. But with a much more accurate rig I'd like to stretch it out to 3-400 . I'm shooting 6" swinger, but would go to 8-10" farther out.

Re: Ansultz 1416 HB.

Not really, imho the 64 MPR has a few more features that I feel warrant the price difference. AFAIK the 1416 trigger is rather basic while the 64 has the famous 2 stage fully adjustable trigger, stock shape while similar I think is refined a bit from the 1416 with the cheek rest being the most apparent difference. Lastly and this may not even be an issue it is better set up for metallic sight match shooting, the stock has a rail and the barrel accepts dovetail front sight globes.

The 1416 can be configured with a notch and post sight set and I'm sure a globe could be used via some sort of adapter but the 64 is ready to go.

The Creedmoore price of the 1416 had me comparing both heavily. Lol still sticking with CZ for now as I can almost have two dedicated rifles for the cost of one 64 with sights.

In general you cant go wrong with an ansultz...any of them. I would get the best you can afford though. And if money is tight...you cant go wrong with cz either. I guess that doesn't clear things up at all, sorry.
