I want to drop an antelope and deer with my ar15 this fall. All I have loaded for it are 77gr cc noslers. Would the 70 or 62gr tsx be a better choice? If not, what bullet would you recommend? Rifle has a 1/7 twist 14.5" barrel, plus muzzle break. Thanks

What you have will more than likely work just fine. If you find yourself bored, or maybe need some on the john reading, I wrote a little diddy on bullets, theres even something on antelope in there. its ripe with opinion and conjecture, so its sure to help...

Thank you for that. I've dropped 1 elk, 2 deer, 1 antelope and a pig with my 308 and 175smk. Just wasn't sure on the 556 and using a hpbt to drop a deer or antelope.

I have the 64gr bsb, but haven't tried them passed 100yds. I can try some 70tsx for load development and run them against the 64gr bsb.

I'm in Montana, it just needs to be a centerfire cartridge
