I spent two yrs in upstate NewYork back in 74-75 in the Air Force (plattsburg) ,had a roommate from NYC he was always trying to get me to go to the city with him ,no way this texas boy was going to the big city ,Plattsburg wasn't bad though , small college town , Adirondack mountains close by lots of lakes to fish in ,enjoyed my two years there , if I had to live in NY state that is where I'd go.
