Is it possible to adapt a RRS Anvil 30 to a 100 mm tripd head, something like a Crux Ordnance ? If so what would be the adapter needed ? Thx

Yes, if you have a 100m plate/head with a 3/8-16 mount. It would be best if the plate has additional set screw has the Anvil provision to prevent the head from rotating. Just backorder from the site. You’ll want the Anvil with no adapter. If you follow them on social media then they offer tease upcoming batches and that the best time to order.

With the RRS series 4 tripods which we have our 100m leveling bases, we have a adapter to shrink it down to the 3 series 75mm leveling bases. It is called a TA-4-AA3, https://www.reallyrightstuff.com/ta-4-aa3
Then you could use the Anvil-30 with the 3 series adapter. I don’t know if it will fit in other companies tripods.
Or you could direct thread the 3 series Anvil-30 platform adapter and find 3 set screws since the adapter is tapped 3 times for any other uses people can find. This is the solution the previous post said which is a spot on solution people have used.
