Night Vision ANVIS 9 housing issues

Hey folks,
This is my first post so I apologize if I am posting in some way incorrectly, I am sure someone will tell me I have done so. I recently broke the housing on my ANVIS 9s, I have seen online there are housings I can buy, but I do not know much about custom builds or disassembly of nods. I have seen there is DTNVG housings that supposedly fit the tubes and glass I have, I am post to just get a better understanding on what tubes and glass fit on what housing so I don't make an expensive purchase and it doesn't fit, as well and some recommendations on housings that would be tougher than the plastic ANVIS 9 housings / bridge. Any and all info would be much appreciated. My tube and glass survived the drop btw and do still work. I just need a new home for the pair.

So my info is a few years old, pricing wise. But I had a pod break off my ANVIS-9 PAS a few years ago and Ed Wilcox swapped the guts into a new pod, repurged and columinated the system and had my goggles back to me for around $300, IIRC

Thankfully my PAS bridge and ribon strip were intact or the coust would have been much higher

As far as new housings go, I haven't been looking but would like to upgrade to a articulating pod system as it apeares that there would be less neck strain when the goggles are folded up. But I haven't given it a whole lot of research yet

Your eyepieces will work with regular pvs-14 standard stuff. Your objective lenses are Anvis style, and will either need to specify that style housing if you upgrade, or just switch to pvs-14 objectives and have that out of the way. Opens the door to many more options on the market, particularly the used market...

Or if you’re on a budget, I have an anvis-9 housing and objectives I’d sell. It has the bridge reinforcement plate on it.

If its the bridge that broke (often is) you can just super glue/epoxy it back together. Many people reinforce their bridges with a piece of aluminum epoxied onto the bridge, they are available in the EE on arfcom.

Venture surplus has replacement bridges for cheap right now, but they require soldering to replace them. I can do it if thats the route you want to go, but you'll be better off in the long run buying a new design housing (mode, rnvg, etc) that uses anvis glass. Just make sure it is an anvis model and not a pvs model.

I just super glued mine for now and its holding up great. Little glue and clamp it with rubber bands. If the pods are broke or bent out of alignment, it can be a bit tricky to fix
