Someone local to me has a complete bcm mk12 mod 0, a2 butt stock... low round count and wanting $2500, has some upgrades and a geissele too.

I’m drooling so hard over this, debating to get rid of my tikka 223 varmint to help fund this!

    talk me out of it

I believe rw Snyder (cant remember his user name) on here had one for sale with a bartlein barrel. His had a nicely done clone A1 lower.

he was asking less then 2000.00

you also have PRI making them and they are under 2000.00

You can get a real PRI gun which is most closer to being correct (PRI made some of the parts on the Mod 0) for like $1600. Add a G Hi Speed Match trigger for $250.

BCM SS barrels are not great shooters. PRI uses Douglas just like the original SPR's did.

Plus its got that retarded BCM logo on the side. Who wants that shit on a clone gun?

I am a huge BCM fan, within their core competencies. This gun is not.

The pri mk12 are awesome!!! I finally got to take mine out last week and start getting dope dialed in. Complete pri upper, and clone lower. Group is at 656 yards with 8 mph wind. Gun is a lot of fun to shoot

I'm really impressed with my PRI Bergara SPR barrel. It may not be truly clone correct, but neither is the BCM, and at least PRI was involved with the original design. All in, my Mock 12 came in under $1300 before optics (and no SWAN rail). If you can get a White Oak Barrel, those are great values, too.

I bought one of their mk12 uppers a looooooooong time ago. It shot OK but never better than an inch.

When you buy one of those uppers you are paying a premium for the handguards, rail, front sight, all that shit costs a ton. The barrel itself is IIRC criterion and costs like 250-300 bucks.

I haven't been very impressed with the two BCM stainless barrels I have. They shot better than the chrome lines barrels, but nothing to write home about. They seem to be pretty ammo sensitive too.
