Sidearms & Scatterguns Any complaints about KCI Glock Mags?

Found a decent deal and realized it had 2 10 round mags. Are KCI magazines good?

As paperweights or training mags (when you want to practice clearance drills), sure. I’ve never had fantastic luck with them, surely not enought to carry them or use them in comps. Consequently, I don’t own any.

Never seen an aftermarket mag for anything worth a shit. Maybe those 1911 guys have better luck.

FWIW, I bought a bunch of "Austrian new in wrap" mags at a gunshow. They looked legit. Wouldn't fit in my rifle, not unless you forced it in (which is exactly what the guy did when I brought 'em back demanding a refund). I got my money back. Found out they were Korean KCI mags. Never again.

Hell, I was wary of Magpul shit for a decade before I warmed up to those. I still think their Glock mags look cheap but I hear they work?

KCI=ghetto/wannabe shit. Not for real shooters.

I bought some during the Colorado Mag Ban fight. I only use them for training mags and find when shooting suppressed they malfunction more than factory mags. I think the springs are the week link.

Never had a KCI mag that ran. I've ran across a couple buying used glocks. Kept one or two for training purposes. Other than that I buy the Magpuls. Never had an issue with them and they're half the price of the factory glocks.

OP Don't use anything but factory glock. KCI/Magpul/ETS and whatever else cannot be trusted and its proven every day in training classes all over the country. The top trainers will tell you the same thing.

just so no to KCI or other Korean mags. Glock mags are so cheap already at $25 and last a very long time. The concept of a training mag make no sense unless you like malfunction drills all the time. I prefer dummy rounds for that. Get factory glock mags run them on the range to know they are good mags then carry them at work or off. Number them all and if a number causes issue retire it right then and replace with a new one.
