I'm considering the DPMS BA22-16 AR Upper for my Bushy lower and am wondering if anyone can share any experience regarding their accuracy, ammo preference, function with std. velocity target ammo, etc.

Thanks in advance for any insights/observations.

Well I used to own their heavy barreled version. They discontinued it for a while I believe and it looks like they brought it back.

Mine was not that accurate. No where near what a 10/22 or 597 can do at 50 yd. with good ammo. The one I had only came with a 10 rd. mag (not a Black Dog) and it fed fine and ran with std. vel ammo. The accuracy wasn't there for $350 I paid.

Things may have changed but if I was going to spend the $ again on a dedicated upper, I'd wait on a NC22 or I'd go all out and buy a Compass Lake.

Is this upper possibly made by Nordic? I vaguely remember reading something about Nordic offering their upper through someone else on the Enos forum. I see DPMS is selling the Nordic receiver for 10/22's.
