My Dad has had this for thirty plus years and we both don't know how old it is. It is a 25 cal. It reads Colt's PT. F.A. MFG. CO. Hartford. CT. U.S.A. on the left of the slide with the "Colt" horse stamp next to the lettering. On the right side of the slide is The "Colt" horse and then Colt Automatic Caliber .25 . Serial # on the right side of the frame is OD114555 . This has a hammer and is not hammerless like some of these small Colts. It's a cool little pistol in nice shape. It has some pocket wear but is in good overall condition. Curious to know what something like this is worth and how old it is......Thanks for your help...Here are some pics.It looks way better in person than this though.....................SmokeRolls

Re: Any experts know anything about this old Colt?

Smoke,

I had questions about an old Colt 1911 that I have. I carried mine to a local gun dealer, who is very knowledgeable, with my questions. Turns out my Colt 1911, that I inherited, was built in 1917. I was speachless when he told me this and what it is worth also.

You might be surprised what kind of history you will find out about your Colt. I have actually never seen or heard of a Colt 25 ACP. Give it a try, it won't cost you anything to find out. By the way, you have a good looking little piece there.

Thanks

Re: Any experts know anything about this old Colt?

Smoke, While rare, these are not all that valuable. A pristine condition would sell in the $800-$1,000 range. Most in good condition sell in the $250-$350 range. Last auction I saw was one in about your condition. It sold in September of last year for approximately $250 and that one was 1920s.

If my info is correct, these were after the Spain production and were produced in USA. The 50's and 60's ((I forgot the exact years but you get the idea) were Spanish.... Thanks for the help guys.. I may sell it at a gun show this coming weekend. My dad and I both have keltec 32's that fit this roll. Anybody interested before I take it there?...........SmokeRolls
