Any MSG90 Owners on here?

Re: Any MSG90 Owners on here?

Actual MSG-90 and MSG-90A1 rifles are not available for private ownership by US citizens. The trigger group of the MSG-90 is attached with a front push pin, like most of the full auto firearms from HK, which makes them an NFA item. Given the date of manufacture, they are restricted to Mil/LEO ownership in the US and precluded from civilian sale. The PSG-1 has a shelf and clip on trigger group, like the HK 90 series rifles which allows the PSG-1 to be civilian owned in comparison to the MSG rifles.

There are several folks around with MSG-90 "clone" rifles here, including me and member "black_ump". Several folks on HKPro have built MSG clones.

Did you have any specific questions or are you just taking a poll?

Re: Any MSG90 Owners on here?

I've built a virtual copy from a JLD Enterprises' lower assembly and used many HK components from HKparts.net. Love the rifle, but once it was done, I had to change a few things to improve my shooting experience. I had to scrap the optic mount and get a better quality one from Midwest. I now use a new Zeiss (thought it would be an appropriate alternative). And I removed the stock for a Magpul PRS. Now it shoots great. I thought about doing an article on how to go about building such an example. But I did retain the original components in case I ever wanted to display an MSG-90 copy.
