My dad located a car there and was looking for somebody with knowledge of muscle cars to chime in.
Not 100% on exact location yet.

Let me know if there happens to be anyone at least in the Sacramento area. Of course it is worth something to check it out.

I will report back with exact location.

    Thanks!

Damn, that's a sharp-looking car! What plans does your father have in mind?

Pending evaluation, but the car needs the following on arrival.
    -Sure Grip Diff install
    -Correct Carb
    -Tic Toc Tach
    -Rear wing
    -5 slot Mags
    Drive it, then next winter
-Mo Power (Street engine but likely 475hp+)
    -Drive it with bigger grin

That will get you out of the hole and shorten up the shifts</div></div> Figured you would chime in. I agree, but this is my ol mans rig, so likely drivability is gonna be a bit higher priority than mine. 3.55's is the thought with 475hp range. If it were an auto it would likely be a touch different.
The Mo Power may not even come about. If he is just gonna cruise I will likely be able to gear it like I would. If he is gonna drive it, 3.55's is about the max.

We have had a couple 70 RR's in the past, but the opportunity to restore and or build just didn't work out. One was a basket case, the other a primered driver (FUN FUN FUN). This is a much more solid car to hang on to.

    The fun one:

475HP from old school technology and still get some street drive ability is going to be REAL tough. That is high compression or a blower territory. That means no pump gas. You should be shootin' for the 350hp range with a nice lope cam so you have the muscle car idle. Nothing like hearing that.

Talking crank not wheels. A little Mopar magic in my back pocket with driveability in mind.

BTW, if it were me, 433's and a cam/head/carb/ignition overhaul and I would be set. (screw drivability) Unfortunately I don't have the checkbook on this one.......yet.

My last 440 was 10.25:1 and ran great on premium. With a 484 cam and Rhodes lifters driveability was excellent. Never had it dyno'd, buy my track time, vehicle weight, etc, calculator, put it at about 450 at the crank.

Re: Any muscle car guys in the Sacramento, CA area????

I'm far from an expert on Mopars, but I'd have to think that it'd be possible to hit 475 HP at the crank without any major streetability issues. Hell, I'm within 25 HP of that number with the 396cid LT1-based small-block stroker in my Impala SS.
