I don't have steady hands and really love my Cannon image stabilizing binoculars. Thus I was looking for an image stabilizing RF. From what I heard, the reviews of the one Nikon released several years ago was that it did not come close to the advertised ranges. Fast forward. I know they are having some financial issues but they just released a new golfing RF model. Anyone have a cousin that knows a cousin who is in the know of when a new hunting model might be available?

A While back I tried the Nikon 3000 stabilized rangefinder and it wasn't bad stabilization, it's long range performance wasn't great. Not sure if Nikon will get back into the rifle/hunting game or not.

If only canon would put rangefinder into their binocs. Honestly while I know they are electronic and not bombproof like some other binocular options, most people would be shocked how much detail you can pick out because of the stabilization even compared to binoculars that cost 2-3x as much. If you are using them on a tripod it doesn't matter, but I shoot a lot of 3D archery and use a 12x pair for that. Guys are constantly amazed how much better they can see arrows cutting lines on targets with the stabilization than they can with leica/swarovski binoculars. Doesn't matter how good the optics are if you can't hold them still.
