I have a custom stock project going on, so no matter which tikka I buy, the stock will go for sell. But I guess nobody want factory plastic stock.
The price will be $900, include every thing except barrel, action, bolt, trigger.
If no body want it, I probably will buy the original Tactical version instead of TAC A1.

You're probably better off just buying the CTR if you are to swap out the stock. Or even finding a really low priced lite model with the appropriate bolt face and having it rebarreled. Unless you are buying it for the 2 stage trigger?

The reason to go with TAC is the barrel, after cross check different guys with their TAC, CTR, and my TRG. It for sure that TAC and TRG are using same barrel.
TAC A1's barrel is almost same, but different finish. All other model's barrels are thinner.

TAC A1 and CTR have the same barrel, I've checked them more than once.

One of my friend checked his TAC A1 barrel diameter 0.88 inch, another guy checked his CTR barrel 0.76 inch. Could you tell me your result, which one is correct? Much appreciate.
May be the CTR guy checked the muzzle thread part?

My CTR 6.5CM 24" SS is 0.786" just behind the muzzle threads. I think 0.880" at the muzzle is big considering that a Medium Palma and Varmint/ Sendero are 0.820"/0.830"

From what I've heard, all Tikka and TRG barrels come off the same line. They only get contoured and threaded different depending on the rifle they are going on.
