Got an 20 MOA base for my 10/22 to reach out to 400 yards+
My old base was on the rimfire so long it looked as parts of the rail had welded to each other. Took some sand paper to flatten the grimy high points with 1000 grit. When I put some oil to protect the surface and mounted, I took it off to see covered and the front half didn't seem to be contacting the receiver as much as the rear.
I'm curious if it'd be recommended to level the base and if so how would I do it and to which part?
