Anyone used a smith for a custom stock inlet(whole thing, not just bottom metal) for a Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard LA? I'm not interested in Chassis and just looking for an EH1 or similar lighter CF stock with vertical grip for this precision hunting build.
LRI said they could do it before Covid hit and then Covid hit so I didn't get it done right away. Been trying to reconnect with them since February to do the build but they're not returning emails, PMs here, and haven't gotten them on the phone. Manners won't inlet for a Howa 1500 LA (only SA). Neither will AG Composites.
Backup plan now is to look into having SAC rebarrel and true the action, leave the bolt alone(had hoped to have a new one fluted), and find someone who can do a custom inlet on a flattop Manners. If I can't I guess I'll buy a Woox. I know some like them but I'm not really digging them but they're closest to the vertical grip hunter stock just weigh too much.
Thanks!
