I am building a stock for a tactical, bolt action. Its cheek piece will be adjustable for height and sideways position. I am considering putting a covering on it to provide a bit of cushion and a non-slip surface to enhance the cheek weld. I have been looking at the materials various stock pack makers have used that includes different types of suede or neoprene, sometimes with a closed cell foam pad underneath. What are your recommendations? Pad or no pad underneath if height adjustment is handled a different way. Which cover material and if possible, a suggestion as to where to get some.
