Sidearms & Scatterguns Any tried a comp on 43x or 48

Not on a shitty-ass glock but on a shitty-ass S&W Shield (9mm). I've got the Samson Pocket Comp (don't think that comes in glock applications) and, while it does work (cuts muzzle rise by maybe half (?)), it also adds length and weight, and complicates breaking the gun down for maintenance. It has been reliable without having to fool around with different recoil springs.
Maybe see if Carver Custom has something for your's. Their's aren't as instgram-cool as some other ones but, for the most part, they are effective.

Haven't the stand-off devices, which also incidentally redirect muzzle blast, been cracking frames on the glock?

At least these serve a purpose in keeping the gun from going out of battery in a contact situation.

Still sounds like a weapon light is the answer to both problems by adding weight to counter muzzle flip and giving stand-off OOB protection, doesn't it?

I saw this on Mod1 Firearms Instagram

G48 ported and front sight moves back to G43x location.

I don’t have any experience with comps or ported pistols, but this looks cool.

I had a Suarez comp on a 48. It was entertaining for a bit but totally unnecessary. Sold the gun because I just had no need for it at that point and figured it’d be easier to start over with a fresh gun.

Those who were around me when I shot it or those who shot it themselves swear it worked, but I just don’t think it was worth it.
